Decorative Vintage Collectible American Victorian Civil War-Style EAGLE Metalware Sculpture Cast Iron Art Storage Box

This vintage limited edition storage box was most-likely made between 1961 – 1965 by The Iron Art Company of Phillipsburg, NJ. We acquired this collector item at a local estate sale.

Art box can be great to store anything from small letters, collector cards, cash or coins (not included) on a desk, bookshelf, tabletop or mantel to store matches  ( as a matchbox ).  It was most likely created to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the end of the historical American Civil War (1861-1865).

Under the removeable eagle – sculpted lid is marked “IRON ART” LB82 4

Under the footed box is marked “IRON ART” LB82 2

Approximate Overall Dimensions: 6.75″ (L) x 4.25″ (W) x 6.25″ (H), weighs about 4.13 pounds.

Commemorative Box is Stored in a SMOKE/ODOR/PET-FREE, Climate-Controlled Environment.
