Description
This vintage advertising display box is a wooden slant‑front counter display rack titled “Sunset Soap Dyes.” The cabinet originally held 24 individual dye packets (not included) and features the classic compartment layout used in early 20th‑century country stores.
This piece was acquired from the estate of Robert Grodanz of David’s Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a long‑established source of early drugstore and general‑store advertising items.
The display case dates approximately between 1915 and 1935; we were told this particular example is from 1921. The cabinet is constructed of solid wood and shows authentic age‑related wear throughout, including dings, dents, stains, scratches, and general surface wear. Many of the original dye names and labels remain legible, though—as expected for its age—much of the lithographed or printed labeling has faded or is missing. Please review all photos for details.
