Description

She wasn’t caught. She arrived.

On a summer evening in the marshlands of Southern New Jersey, an 8-month-old brown tabby appeared at a woman’s feet on the back deck — and never really left. This is the true story of Newsie, the feral cat who adopted her humans, and the beginning of a serialized cozy mystery starring her feral friends: Tiger Tiger (very vocal, very dramatic), Bootie (black patrol cat, white rear paws only), and the mysterious Black Panther.

What’s inside this free sample:
– Chapter 1: “The Screen Door” — the complete first chapter as a formatted PDF keepsake
– Meet the colony: Newsie, Tiger Tiger, Bootie, and Black Panther
– The first whisper of the nightboat legend

How the series works: New chapters publish free on the RummageRunner blog every week or two. Every 10–12 chapters becomes a compiled Volume ebook. This free sample is yours to keep — no strings, just cats.
